A delightfully successful show up in Islington
This morning I am sorting through the debris that comes after a weekend show and putting things back where they belong in the studio. This one was the Candid Arts Exhibition in Islington and was a chance for my hats to go and see, and be seen, in London for the first time. Most exciting. Not only did I manage to make a few sales (including one of the solar power pill boxes – already eagerly awaiting those photos!) but I met some wonderful creative types that kept me from the inevitable madness that comes from talking about hats constantly for four days.. One of them was the beautiful illustrations of Hannah Davies who is as lovely as her creations and also Karl Karter who after an 11 year jewellery apprenticeship is showcasing his first solo collection. Crazily beautiful things.
Also, I bought a leather ring from the incredibly talented Lydia Tung. Have. A. Look.
